Position Details: Full Time, Live-In or Live-Out

Location: Washington, DC

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Compensation: $45-$50 per hour, paid via W-2 (on the books)

Start Date: September 21, 2026

A private household in Washington, DC, is seeking a reliable and discreet Full-Time Housekeeper to maintain the residence to a high standard. The ideal candidate is careful, organized, and experienced in housekeeping, laundry, ironing, household upkeep, and the proper care of clothing, furnishings, and personal belongings.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform general and detailed housekeeping throughout the residence
• Handle household laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, and proper storage
• Maintain the home in a clean, organized, and well-presented condition
• Assist with daily household organization and upkeep
• Carefully handle furniture, clothing, linens, and household belongings
• Prepare simple Mediterranean-style, low-fat meals as needed
• Follow household preferences and instructions closely
• Maintain discretion and respect the family’s privacy at all times

Cooking Requirement:

Cooking is required. The candidate should be comfortable preparing simple Mediterranean-style, low-fat meals.

Qualifications & Required Qualities:

• Previous professional housekeeping experience in a private home
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual
• Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of household privacy
• Careful and detail-oriented when handling personal belongings and furnishings
• Strong laundry and ironing skills
• Organized and able to work independently
• Comfortable preparing Mediterranean-style, low-fat meals
• Excellent and recent professional references from private households
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
